In Memory: Josh

As our community mourned the loss of a neighbor, friend, and congregant by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, friends cut Josh’s closet full of button down shirts into quilt blocks. A group of seamstress pieced, others machine quilted and others added binding. I designed one of the five legacy quilts that were presented to his children. I chose not to trim down the blocks I used, I wanted the pockets and buttonholes visible throughout the project and chose an on-point design to mimic diamonds (or stars). The blocks were curated by color to achieve an ordered design.

This quilt measures 60 inches by 78 inches. -Circa 2017
