Fairy Doors

This quilt was designed for exhibition at the Garden of Quilts held each September in Lehi, Utah.

Riley Blake, the show’s sponsor, hangs quilts from trees, in the arbors of the rose garden and along winding walking paths so I felt it fitting to use the warm, earthy tones of deep orange, rich browns, and soothing yellows of their designs in this quilt.

The large square block center shows off the focal fabric and when surrounded by a low volume border gracefully transform the block to a circle.

This quilt measures 78 inches by 84 inches
