Gift to Ashelyn

Gift to Lacie

Country Color

This quilt was one of over a dozen patriotic quilts I created and gave to veteran organizations, church raffles, and my loved family members (see And Then Some).

I was interested in learning how to match the stripes of one block to the stripes of the adjacent block, especially when the stipes were angular, and to understand how to work with an triangle without distorting the shape.

This quilt was made with fabrics scraps I had and fabric scraps I traded with other quilty friends. The backing is made of chambray fabric, durable when using for July picnics.

This quilt measures 56 inches by 70 inches.
