Twenty Twenty (1)

This quilt was made as part of a Block of the Month at American Quilting consisted of 20 (12 1/2”) blocks and 20 (6 1/2”) blocks—thus themed 2020 (Twenty Twenty). The sample quilt consisted of the entire 40 blocks set block to block for an overall measurement of 100” by 100”.

I wanted some negative space between the blocks so when viewing the quilt, one would have time to really see the beauty of each block. I designed this quilt first by setting the 12 large blocks on point then adding 6 small blocks perpendicular to the edge. I chose the first border in dark navy to contain the design then added 8 small blocks to the next border.

This quilt measures 66 inches by 82 inches. -Circa 2020
