Frightening

This is the first of several quilts I made when the ‘make it mini’ quilt swaps was all the rave on social media around 2015. As a way of connecting the quilting community , a Quilt Fairy organizes themes, deadlines, and quilters into a mini quilt exchange with the creative process documented on Instagram.

In this design, the tombstone foundation provided a background to bats, quilts, and poison and a Dresden coffin of Ghastlies by Alexander Henry added a whimsical touch.

A year or so after I gave this quilt away I realized that I really missed it, and while I know I can always make another one, gifting this quilt helped me realize that I wanted to keep my creations.

This quilt measures 20 inches by 24 inches.
