Aunt Ginny

Aunt Ginny celebrated her 80th birthday July 6, 2022 and as a present to her, I drove my Mother and Father the 650 miles that separates our home so that we could be together. As a present to me, my Aunt Ginny gifted me this vintage quilt she had purchased in a local shop in her hometown.

As of yet I have not been able to document the artist who designed this quilt only to say that is a very unusual whole cloth quilt, combining embroidery and hand quilting. It features metallic embroidery featuring wreath and leaf designs possibly made in the 1960’s.

This quilt measures 78 inches by 90 inches.
