1930 Sampler

When the local quilt shop offered a Block of the Month sampler quilt program I opted to make a second quilt curated with reproduction prints already in my fabric stash that echo the iconic designs of the 1930s era. Delicate pastel hues, cheerful floral patterns, and charming novelty prints such as feed sack replicas.

Traditional block designs of the Schoolhouse, Nine Patch, Square in Square and Danish Churn Block lend authenticity to the quilt and design preference for NOT constructing a Scottie Dog quilt block in either version of the quilt ensures originality in design.

To complete the quilt, a small sashing with corner stones and borders were added to tie the diverse blocks together cohesively.

This quilt measures 68 inches by 82 inches.
