Snowballed

I don’t recall where this design originated, but I am certain that at the time I made this quilt, I did not have the skills to envision this pattern, or these fabrics.

The quilt block is an Octagon Snowball block pieced with eight fabric wedges which are sewn surprisingly precise. The ‘blank’ half blocks on every other row are pieced octagon blocks made of with background fabric.

The oversized rick rack between the borders dates the quilt to circa 2008.
