Lello Mixer

This quilt was made by using the Turnabout Patchwork technique where simple blocks are made, then sliced, then repositioned, then sewn back together yielding a completely different block.

Nine quilt blocks were constructed with a 4 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch (finished) center block. A 2 inch strip fabric border was added to each block and repeated two more times. The quilt blocks were then cut down the middle vertically and horizontally and the quarter blocks randomly resewn.

When I made a similar quilt in green I realized green wasn’t my favorite color, I believe that quilt was gifted to some unsuspecting soul.

This quilt measures 38 inches by 38 inches.
