Peter to Paul

This quilt top was a Oliver family heirloom in my parents possession since the mid 1970’s. We have no oral history of exactly when this quilt top was made but feel certain it was created in Los Angeles, California area, the epicenter of my ancestors beginning in 1910. We are unaware of anyone in our family tree who made quilts so it is also possible that this quilt top was gifted or purchased by a member of my family.

In the mid 1990’s this quilt top was given to me and after securing the badding and backing, I hand stitched the quilt around each circle and added the binding.

This quilt measures 62 inches by 84 inches.
