Georgetown

The Georgetown Circle block also casually called Crown of Thorns or Wedding Ring block although there is little information to documentation these names with accuracy.

This block patten is very simple in its construction with Half Square Triangles, but very stunning in its completion. Traditionally done with just two contrasting solid colors, it is commonly set on point.

The body of this quilt is densely hand stitched; however, the 3 inch binding/border is not stitched and appears to have been constructed from fabric not already present.

This quilt measures 60 inches by 74 inches.
